Peace be upon you…

Yesterday I came across something very interesting, atleast for me. We all know that Jews, Christian and Muslims are the three people of the book and they have a lot of commons in their religious history. What I didn’t know till now was that the greetings (traditional) they exchange among themselves has the same meaning!

In Judaism, it is Shalom Aleichem meaning ‘Peace be upon you’ in Hebrew

In Christianity, Pax Vobiscum meaning ‘Peace (be with) you’ in Latin

In Islam, Assalam Aleikum meaning ‘Peace be upon you’ in Arabic
